CASI Sustainability Forum: Building Capacity for the Future of Sustainable Finance in Africa: Supporting Low-carbon Transition and Resilient Growth
About this Event
Recent global energy crises, shifting trade dynamics, and escalating long-term climate risks are reshaping Africa’s development and investment landscape. These developments are exposing the vulnerabilities associated with dependence on fossil fuels and external energy supply, while also creating new uncertainties for economic stability and capital flows across the continent. Accelerating green and low carbon transition is becoming essential not only for addressing climate change, but also for strengthening energy security, enhancing economic resilience, and supporting sustainable growth. Achieving this transition will require stronger institutional capacity, more developed market infrastructure, and deeper regional and international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Against this backdrop, the Capacity-building Alliance of Sustainable Investment (CASI) is co-hosting this CASI Sustainability Forum with Bank of Africa BMCE Group, supported by the Casablanca Finance City Authority and Policy Center of the New South at the UM6P. This two-day Forum features keynote speeches, expert presentations, fireside chats and thematic panel discussions addressing key topics of sustainable finance that are relevant to this region.
