The partnership establishes a framework for cooperation between CFCA and CASI across joint training programs, digital learning, professional certification, research, talent development, expert mobility and cross-border knowledge exchange. More broadly, this strategic cooperation reflects a shared ambition to accelerate the development of sustainable finance ecosystems in Morocco and across Africa, while strengthening connections between African stakeholders and the Chinese and international sustainable investment community.

It is also based on the shared conviction that mobilizing sustainable investment in emerging and developing economies requires not only greater access to capital, but also qualified professionals, appropriate institutional capabilities and the dissemination of sustainable finance knowledge and practices.

The partnership is aligned with Casablanca Finance City’s broader commitment to strengthening sustainable finance expertise across the continent. It is also consistent with the mission of the Africa Finance & Sustainability Institute (AFSI), the first pan-African training centre dedicated to finance professions and related fields, with a particular focus on sustainability. Through its cooperation with CASI, CFCA will further expand opportunities for high-quality training, professional certification, knowledge production and international exchange.

Commenting on the signing, Saïd Ibrahimi, CEO of Casablanca Finance City Authority, stated: “This partnership with CASI reinforces Casablanca Finance City’s role as leading hub for sustainable finance in Africa. By strengthening skills, professional standards and knowledge-sharing opportunities, we aim to support financial ecosystems across the continent and accelerate the transition towards more sustainable economies. This cooperation fits naturally within our ambition for the Africa Finance & Sustainability Institute, which will provide a dedicated platform for sustainable finance capacity building in Africa.”

Dr Ma Jun, Chairman, CASI, added: “We are delighted to partner with Casablanca Finance City to advance sustainable finance capacity across Africa. Through this collaboration, we aim to leverage CASI Academy’s digital learning platforms to scale our capacity-building efforts and equip financial professionals with the practical expertise needed for the sustainable transition. Together, we can foster a robust ecosystem of skilled talent that will unlock sustainable investment opportunities and drive impactful change throughout the continent.”

By connecting Casablanca Finance City’s African ecosystem with CASI’s global network, the new partnership will contribute to deeper cooperation between Africa, China and global sustainable finance stakeholders in support of sustainable investment.
