On 5 June 2026, CASI co-hosted an exclusive, closed-door event — Exploring the Wealth System in Hong Kong: Stewardship, Sustainability & Long-Term Capital through a Systems Lens — alongside our valued partners Toniic, the Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth (CSP), and Omplexity Consulting. This invitation-only dialogue brought together over 30 participants, including leaders from family offices and foundations, next-generation wealth holders, trusted advisors, ecosystem builders, and public sector stakeholders. The gathering offered a candid and thought-provoking exchange on the evolving role of private wealth in shaping sustainable finance outcomes across Hong Kong and Asia.
Setting the Stage: Policy and Progress
We were honoured to have Mr. Joseph HL Chan, JP, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, HKSAR, deliver the keynote address on Hong Kong’s evolving role as a sustainable finance and private wealth hub in Asia. A senior official from the HKMA also joined the conversation, sharing meaningful progress on sustainable banking policies — a strong signal of the regulatory momentum building in this space.
Exploring Stewardship and Capital Allocation
Participants dove into the key forces shaping stewardship and capital allocation across Hong Kong and Asia, examining leverage points, opportunities for action, and concrete pathways for mobilising capital toward sustainable and transition-oriented investments. Private equity opportunities in green technologies emerged as a particularly compelling area of focus.
Why This Event Matters to CASI
For the Capacity-building Alliance of Sustainable Investment (CASI), events like this are more than a gathering — they reflect our broader mission to build capacity and catalyse meaningful collaboration across the sustainable finance ecosystem, including the impact investing space. Bringing diverse stakeholders into the same room to think systemically about wealth and sustainability is precisely the kind of work we believe drives lasting change.
A heartfelt thank you to our co-hosts, speakers and our supporting partner HK4FAMILIES, and to every participant who brought their experience, openness, and genuine commitment to this dialogue.
