HKGFA-CASI Certificate in Sustainable Finance
The HKGFA-CASI Certificate in Sustainable Finance is a self-paced, professional-level online English programme designed to provide a comprehensive and practical understanding of green and sustainable finance (GSF), with a focus on Asia. The programme is uniquely structured to offer six courses covering GSF taxonomy, sustainability disclosures, GSF products, transition finance, climate risk assessment and management, and carbon markets. These are delivered online via the CASI Academy, complemented by two live webinars with industry experts and in-person networking opportunities for professional development.

Subsidy under Pilot Green and Sustainable Finance Capacity Building Support Scheme
This Programme is one of the Eligible Programmes under the Pilot Green and Sustainable Finance Capacity Building Support Scheme (Programme Code:GTP-6866255). Eligible applicants can apply for a subsidy of up to 80% of the relevant fees (full-time student applicants up to 100%), subject to a ceiling of HK$10,000.

Understanding classification systems for green, sustainable, and transition activities.
02 Sustainability Disclosure
Frameworks and standards for sustainability reporting and disclosure requirements.
03 Green and Sustainable Finance Products
Exploring the range of GSF instruments including green bonds, sustainability-linked loans, and more.
04 Transition Finance
Financing strategies to support the transition to a low-carbon economy.
05 Climate Risk Assessment and Management
Tools and methodologies for assessing and managing climate-related financial risks.
06 Carbon Markets
Understanding carbon trading mechanisms, carbon credits, and market developments in Asia.
EXAMINATION & CERTIFICATION
How to Get Certified
You will have 6 months from registration to complete all course content then schedule and take the assessment. The assessment will be completed virtually with online proctors administered by CASI.
Exam Format
90 multiple choice questions (closed book) completed within 1 hour 30 minutes. Online proctored examination administered by CASI.
Upcoming Exam Date
8 August 2026 (Saturday) 10:00 – 11:30 HKT. Examination slots are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Pass Mark & Certificate
Achieve 75% pass mark to receive a digital Certificate of Completion. Candidates must complete 100% of all mandatory course content including webinars before sitting the exam.
Retake Policy
1 retake opportunity allowed. Retake fee: USD 50 (without Academy access) or USD 100 (with 6-month extended access). Second failure requires re-enrolment.
